"A new investment fund that focuses on women-owned businesses has made its first funding commitment.

Next Act Fund invested $50,000 as part of a $1 million round of financing for BoardBookit, a Mt. Lebanon company that develops mobile technology for boards of directors.

Other investors included Golden Seeds of New York, and Blue Tree Allied Angels and Innovation Works of Pittsburgh.

Next Act was founded by Yvonne Campos, a longtime marketing research executive. Its mission is to invest in early-stage companies led by women and to provide education for female investors."
