Join Us for Progressive Networking!

Please join us for our monthly networking mixer.  The goal is to bring together a diverse network of professional women looking to foster stronger and more meaningful relationships with other professional women, as we seek to expand our reach and connections in the Pittsburgh region.  What is progressive networking? Each attendee will be encouraged to invite one or two women from their own networks to join the group for the next mixer. We want this network to grow organically from within, as each member brings their own unique perspective to the group.

after completing registration to reserve your session.

About the Program

Our workshop guides participants through understanding and maximizing opportunities under two key federal programs, the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and the Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. SBIR is a federal program that provides early stage research and development funding to small technology companies or individuals who will be developing a product and company. Similarly, STTR supports small businesses teaming up with nonprofit research entities, such as universities.

Our workshop will provide an overview of the SBIR and STTR programs, including important recent changes coming from the programs' recent reauthorization. Our experienced presenters will share insights and an effective, four-step strategy for creating competitive proposals for all program stages that emphasize commercialization, the key component of a winning proposal.

Here is Black Tech in Pittsburgh!

unnamed.jpg

Hello BTN Supporter!

Last year we asked, "Where Is Black Tech in Pittsburgh?". This year we're back saying, "Here is Black Tech in Pittsburgh!".

Please join us as we sit down with three of Pittsburgh's most
successful black & minority entrepreneurs who have collectively
raised over $2 million. We will discuss each of their journeys, trials, and tribulations as minorities in Pittsburgh's tech scene.

Are we truly building an "inclusive" tech environment in this city according to those who truly live it?

As a bonus, we will sit down for a special fireside chat with CMU graduate and venture capitalist, Phil Bronner. A black investor with over 20 years experience investing in tech companies in Silicon Valley and beyond.

What was his experience climbing the VC ladder as a black investor?

Get ready. This will be a very interactive panel that will require audience participation the entire way through. I'm asking the tough questions - are you ready to answer them with our panel?

See you there!
